What I did for Christmas

I've been busy over the holidays. I out did myself by making four homemade batches of cookies to give as gifts. I tried my hand at Pecan Bars, Toffee cookies, chocolate chip cookies and oatmeal raisin cookies. The batches made enough for seven gifts and a big plate for Santa.

To the left is a picture of my dog "Puff". I was feeling pretty crafty. I got a pattern offline for a dress (will provide link later). I had to add some extra inches around the middle for my dog. She is small but hairy. I used left over felt fabric from a jacket I made for my daughter. The white trimming is just batting material cut in strips. She was the talk of the neighborhood.

Hey, my name was published online by the one and only "First Quilting Podcast" Annie Smith. Please check out her December 19Th Podcast "What I want for Christmas". I listen to Annie every day. Please check her out and donate to her tip jar to keep her podcast free from advertisement.

I am such a proud parent! This is my daughter designing her first quilt for her niece. I let her in my quilting stash and we took and trip to the local quilting store for the backing. She did all the designing herself and I tried to stay out of the way. I will upload a picture of the finished quilt soon.

That is all for now, but stay tuned.

Happy Holidays to all Quilters

I like to wish all quilters a happy Holiday. I'm in the process of making a Christmas outfit for my dog. I will post the picture as soon as I can get the dog in the dress:-) I'm also working on a small whole quilt wall hanging. This will be a selection of small floral projects that I'm testing out.
